Flirting makes the world go round....
We introduced the "send a flirt" option on Friday last week and since then over 2,000 flirts have been sent on the site - in 5 days! That's an awful lot of flirting going on and it's great to see. All relationships have to start with some kind of flirting and I'm delighted that so many of you are using this feature on the site.
Speaking of Flirting, there is an article in the Irish Independent today and it is an interview with MaybeFriends.com's very own Date Doctor - Dave Kavanagh. - Check it out - it makes for great reading.... Is your flirting a disaster?
I'm not sure how many of you have seen our "Flirt Cards" but here are the MaybeFriends.com flirting tips:

Am not sure if it qualifies as "flirting" more as "what happens post-flirt" or "what to do when the signals are picked up wrong", but here's something I posted somewhere else a while ago:
A few Rules for Girls on nights out:
- Be nice. It takes courage for a guy to go up to a girl, and while we don't expect this to mean you're obligated to immediately swoon at our feet in gratitude, an acknowledgment of the effort would be good even if you're not interested. So, no just telling the guy to piss off and/or turning your back and ignoring him (unless he's being a complete dickhead)
- Be honest. If you're not interested, say so. No-one believes the "oh, I'm with someone" excuse if you've previously been eyeballing every guy in the place as they come in, or if you go out and start randomly snogging guys on the dancefloor. The guy you don't piss off by unnecessarily lying to him today may be the guy who introduces you to his hot friend tomorrow.
- If a guy buys you a drink, then be prepared to repay the favour at least once in the night - or at least offer to buy him one anyway. Guys talk to guys as much as girls talk to girls, and you don't want the rep of being a gold-digger who only talks to guys for the free drinks.
- There may be safety in numbers but sometimes you gotta break away from the pack if you want to be caught. If you're out with friends and someone catches your eye, give him a chance to come over to you by separating a bit from your group of friends (go to the bar or something). No guy likes trying to talk to a girl with her posse of friends looking over his shoulder the whole time.
- if you give out your number, be prepared for it to be used. No changing your mind the next day and ignore all his calls/txts. A simple "thanks but no thanks" is again sufficient.
- If you get to the point of going on a date with a guy, don't do the "safety call" ploy, it's too bloody obvious.
