Yesterday I got an email which just made my day!
In order to keep our database as fresh and up to date as possible, we send people an email if they haven't logged on for 6 months to ask them to log on in the next day or two or we will automatically remove their profile. This is the response I got to one of those emails yesterday:
Hi Jill
I haven't been on that (maybefriends.com) since October 2005! Well apart from a nosey to see if my profile was still there. I met a wonderful man on my very first date (his second) and we are now married nearly 8 months! So I'm happy for my profile and his one to be deleted forever. Another friend of my husbands tried the site and he is about to announce his engagement to the girl he met off it. Plus the friend that encouraged me to try it is getting married this September to the person she met through the site. So I guess the reason why I'm replying to this is because it does work and I hope that lots more people get the chance to meet someone through maybefriends.com
